I stayed at this absolutely charming house earlier this week. A lovely warm welcome and clean, spacious, comfortable comfortable accommodation made for an excellent night's sleep. I still feel a little guilty at my inability to do any kind of justice to the lavish and delicious breakfast. I can't recommend Farnell Fields highly enough.

Great place to stay, very relaxing atmosphere. We stayed with our 4 young children, spreading ourselves over two of the rooms which were very nice, comfortable, and looked fairly modern. Great breakfasts too!

Warm and friendly, spotlessly clean room, fantastic breakfast, good location with two pubs on the doorstep. Loved the coffee machine in my room especially with the shortbread biscuits

Absolutely love the place. The food is top 3 I had in my 3 years in Britain so far. High quality and a lot! Love the deserts. Staff is very friendly and looking after the place. Not too loud either if you want to sleep in one of the lovely rooms upstairs and a band is playing. My kid slept perfectly fine. Parking is easy just across the road. Try the gin, if you aren't driving...
We always have a really good meal at the Horse and Groom, Milcombe. Always attentive and a delicious selection of food that is thoughtfully created. Thank you all for the delightful lunches and dinners.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
